Newport Beach ceremony – San Juan Capistrano wedding reception
This wedding had it all. From the traditional Catholic church ceremony in Newport Beach (where the bride grew up), to the stunning outdoor reception at Serra Plaza – one of the best San Juan Capistrano wedding venues. Every detail was carefully executed by LVL Wedding and Events and the day flowed by perfectly.
Traditional Catholic Ceremony
Marrying your best and long-time friend must be such a great feeling, right? It is certainly a dream that almost everybody looks forward to. For Matt and Elizabeth, it is a dream which came true when they walked down the aisle in Newport Beach at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in front of family members and friends. The church is not only gorgeous but also an architectural masterpiece!
Wedding Details and Awesome Vendors
This wedding stood out for many reasons. From the stunning gown the bride wore to the hand crafted detail of wedding decorations in the church and at the reception area. It was well planned and coordinated by LVL Weddings & Events. We saw a number of local vendors come together to make this San Juan Capistrano wedding absolutely perfect.
The Girls
To say the least, the bride was stunning in her strapless Arie Barcelona wedding dress and, not forgetting her blush colored Badgley Mischka shoes. Her bridesmaids wore strapless soft pink chiffon dresses designed by Bill Levkoff, a seasoned designer when it comes to matters of wedding dresses.
The beautiful bride couldn’t be complete without her wonderful bouquet from Flowers etc. The flowers which had a wide off-white satin ribbon around the stems comprised of blush and white roses, white freesia, white peonies and some dusty miller. The hair and makeup for the bride and her bridesmaids was taken care of by Georgia of Design Visage.
The Boys
The groom didn’t disappoint either! He and the boys wore suits by Brooks Brothers. The groom wore a dark grey suit, and the guys wore a lighter shade of grey. All the men had white shirts and light grey checkered ties. They looked sharp!
Old town San Juan Capistrano
Historic Old Town SJC provided a perfect backdrop for the formal bridal photos and was only a couple minutes from the reception venue. The shuttle brought everyone to the train station and from there we wandered around for some beautiful group and bride & groom portraits. If you happen to go there for photos, be sure to find the old red caboose! This is a must-visit location for anyone having a San Juan Capistrano wedding.
Serra Plaza Wedding Reception
The reception was at the never-disappointing Serra Plaza (also in San Juan Capistrano). The wedding guests and bridal party were entertained by a live band called the All Stars Trio. The setup at the reception left everyone wanting to stay even longer. Talk of the vintage plates and dinnerware at each place setting and centerpieces with beautiful flowers. Chandeliers and twinkle lights hung from the trees. Intricate details of perfection right to the individual vases for each guest with their table number. San Juan Capistrano is a hidden gem on the coast of Orange County and is quickly being discovered by brides and grooms as word gets out!
