Those tiny toes, those clenched fists, those sweet puckered lips—newborns are everything sweet and tender; but your baby’s first few months are fleeting. Before you know it, your baby will be wide-eyed and having a hard time sitting still! Beautiful portraits help you hold on to a piece of this newborn phase forever.
No.1
Newborn sessions are done during the week at our studio when your little one is 5-28 days old. We encourage all families to come to the studio where we have tons of props and backgrounds for your new baby!
No.2
In-home sessions are shot in a lifestyle, natural style, and take place in the comfort of your home. We will document your swaddled baby in the nursery with parents and siblings. We will bring a few swaddles in various colors, but please keep in mind we do not bring studio props to your home.

The sooner you can get on the calendar, the better. Ideally, you’ll give us a call during your first or second trimester so we can pencil you in for your session somewhere near your due date. Then, when you are ready to go to the hospital, shoot us an email or text letting us know so we can schedule a date and time.
Baby’s photograph best within the first 5-21 days of life. They’re naturally “scrunched up” deep sleepers, and don’t mind being moved around as much. However we can photograph them up to one month old. We typically photograph the newborn session in the morning since your baby’s schedule is a little off at the beginning. We prefer sleeping babies but can work with a baby asleep or awake. Our studio is heated to help keep your little one sleepy.
Be sure to give them a bath and a full feeding before arriving at the studio. We will send you more detailed information once you have booked your session.
This is the only session I cannot guarantee due to travel and certain sessions I cannot move (like weddings). I recommend doing a newborn session over the Fresh 48 because there is more flexibility with scheduling.
We have everything here at the studio. If you have something you would like in the photograph, just let us know, but we have a lot.
We help with posing in the studio and lifestyle sessions. However, the Fresh 48 is captured in documentary style with little to no posing but we do give lots of direction.
Only the Fresh 48 includes digital files in the set price. The session fee is for the photographer’s time and talent only. Digital files and other photography products can be purchased a-la-carte. Jennifer has spent countless hours perfecting her craft by photographing hundreds of babies and attending numerous newborn workshops around the country.

One of my favorite parts about this job after 24 years?
Watching clients become part of your life without even realizing it. 🤍
I photograph their engagement… then their wedding… then their newborn… then somehow you’re doing family photos years later wondering how their kids got so big so fast.
At some point clients stop feeling like “clients.”
And honestly?
That’s my favorite part of all of this. ✨
“You don’t have to know how to pose… that’s my job.” 👏
Honestly, most business owners walk into branding sessions saying the exact same thing:
“I’m awkward in photos.” 😅
But here’s the thing…
You already know how to do YOUR job.
You know how to connect with clients.
You know how to make people feel comfortable.
My job is simply to help translate that into photos.
That’s why during branding sessions I guide everything:
where to stand, how to move, what to do with your hands, and how to make the photos feel natural instead of forced.
Because strong branding photos shouldn’t just show what you do…
They should show who people are trusting. ✨
Would you ever book a branding session for your business? 👇
Every session before this one, he was part of the group.
Now it’s just him.
And he showed up like he’d been doing sessions his whole life. Relaxed, easy, completely himself in front of the camera.
That’s what a few years of family sessions does. By the time senior year comes around, being in front of the camera isn’t awkward - it’s familiar.
Some of the best senior sessions are built on something that came before.
Follow to see what that looks like.
People think photography is about cameras, posing, or taking pretty pictures.
But honestly?
It’s about people.
The relationships.
The memories.
The little moments that feel ordinary right now but won’t someday.
After over 20 years of photographing families, weddings, seniors, and newborns… I’ve realized the photos themselves are only part of it.
What really matters is how they make people feel years later. 🤍
Absolutely.
But here’s what I really want moms to notice…
Not just the baby.
The way you’re looking at them.
The tiny little fingers.
The way this season feels before it changes way too fast.
Because newborn photos aren’t really about perfect poses.
They’re about remembering what life looked like when everything was brand new. 🤍
