Gilmore Studios has been photographing high school sports team portraits since 2006. We currently work with many local high schools in Orange County, including Newport Harbor, Huntington Beach and Corona Del Mar High School. We love to photograph the kids in an outdoor location with natural light. High School sports photography doesn’t have to be dull and boring, right? After photographing the groups, we always have time for some fun candid photos of the kids and their best friends.

We always encourage teams to meet at the beach or a park for their team portraits unless there is a specific background (school sign, bleachers, etc.)
Yes, school team portraits can be arranged for as little as $10 per student.
All photos are put on a private online gallery where prints and digital images can be purchased.

Have you documented this stage yet?
Sitting up sessions are one of my favorites. We started with family, then slowed things down and focused on baby’s expressions and personality. Simple backgrounds, no distractions, just this moment in time.
Have you ever noticed how the most meaningful moments don’t need much at all?
The power was out in the church during this baptism, which made everything feel quieter and more intentional. Just family, faith, and a moment that truly mattered. Sometimes simplicity has a way of stripping things back to what is most important.
Who says Christmas photos have to be serious?
This family showed up in red, brought the energy, and leaned fully into the fun. The funny poses, the laughs, and the personalities are exactly what made this session feel so them. These are the photos you smile at every time you walk by them.
Do your headshots actually feel like you?
This one was done at Balboa in the fog, and honestly, it worked perfectly. Soft light, calm energy, and nothing distracting. A great reminder that headshots do not have to be stiff or overly polished to feel professional.
2025 looked like:
• 152 sessions
• New faces, familiar faces
• More gratitude than I can fit here
This work continues to surprise me. I’m thankful for the trust, the connection, and the moments I was honored to document this year. If you were part of it, thank you.
