PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOT PORTRAITS
As a professional, you ARE the face of your business. That’s why it’s essential to have a professional, up-to-date headshot or portrait to represent your visual brand.
Consider the places this portrait will be used: On business cards, your website, social media accounts, LinkedIn and other professional websites, in advertising or media, job interviews, networking, and for conventions you may be attending or speaking at. If you want to be treated as a professional, you must look like a professional. A filtered snapshot off your iPhone won’t do, trust us!
Professional photography is a relatively small financial investment that demonstrates you take yourself and your career seriously. It will set you apart from the crowd.
Your portrait should portray you and your business in the best light possible, as trustworthy, professional, fresh, and forward-moving. Clients should also be able to recognize you when they meet you in person or see you in public.
Don’t worry—headshots don’t have to look staunch or stuffy. You can smile and move around and show some of your personality and still look professional.
Each headshot portrait session includes a full resolution retouched digital file for you to keep. Once you choose the photo, our team will make you look perfect! We can remove skin blemishes, acne, scars, wrinkles, and even make you look a few pounds lighter.
Consider these tips for updating your headshots:
*Hiring a professional hair and makeup artist. You won’t regret the money spent. When you’re feeling your best, it shows in the confidence on your face!
*If you’re unsure about what to wear, search others headshots for inspiration, or consider hiring a professional stylist to shop and pick out a few outfits that would be flattering in a headshot (assuming they’re clothes you can wear again, this is an investment you can hang on to!).
*Avoid black and white. Pick something subdued but colorful. Select two looks to be photographed.
In addition to headshots, consider full body shots and group portraits with the other professionals in your office (if applicable). Though our studio provides ideal lighting and a variety of professional backdrops, we’re happy to come to your place of business or other location you feel best represents your company and visual brand to take pictures. We’ve shot on the beach, at the pier, at construction sites, and on canyon trails. Many of our clients have had us photograph their buildings, offices, or even products while we are there. If you need photos for marketing (website, brochures, etc.) be sure to let us know!
Gilmore Studios has been photographing business headshots in Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego for nearly a decade! If you only get one shot to make a first impression, trust us to help you make the best one.
