Beachcomber Cafe – Crystal Cove Cottages Wedding – Caitlin + Trent

Caitlin and Trent invited 100 of their favorite people in Utah to Orange County for their destination wedding! When they arrived a couple days earlier, it was pouring down rain. I think it rained all week! It was misty that Sunday morning but we could start to see blue sky peeking through to we knew it was going to be a perfect day for a wedding.

Reserving a Crystal Cove Cottage is no easy task (ask anyone who has tried) but when you work with the awesome team at the Beachcomber for your wedding, everything gets easier! Cottage number 2 is called the “Shell Shack” and is located a few steps from the restaurant. There is a cute patio area in back for your family to hang out in and a porch in front with an incredible view of Catalina Island. The cottage is a single room with a tiny bathroom in back. The beds fold up against the wall so there is plenty of room for the girls to get ready.

The ceremony area is unlike any other in Orange County. You are literally on the sand right in front of the crashing surf! The reception is area is on a small bluff directly behind the ceremony. There is a hill right behind filled with wild flowers and beautiful cactus plants. Kids were in heaven as they ran around with bare feet sword fighting with sticks and collecting seashells.

We have photographed engagement sessions many times at the Crystal Cove Cottages, but this was our first wedding here. If you are in the market for a beach wedding, you’d better get on their waiting list, because there is no other beach wedding location like it!
