When we started our company in 2002, Pinterest, online tutorials, and even Google did not exist. The only way we could get help is if we found another photographer that was willing to share their experience and knowledge.
We struggled for years trying to find the right gear, figuring out the best way to get what we needed from a session or wedding, and how to run the business overall. Once we felt we figured things out – we were more than anxious to share what we learned with others in the same boat.

What season of life are your kids in right now?
Every time I photograph families with college kids home for a short visit, I’m reminded how quickly these years move. One minute they are in high school and the next you are coordinating holiday flights and squeezing in family photos before everyone heads back to campus and real life.
Sessions like this one on Balboa Island always feel extra meaningful. It is not about perfection, it is about having everyone in the same place at the same time. That alone is a gift.

You walk away with memories and a few keepsakes. A certificate for being on the nice list and a small themed gift that ties the whole experience together.
Loved tonight and spending time with these two. Did a session almost two months after their wedding in their wedding attire before they got it all cleaned. A fun, relaxing way to get some cool shots without a lot of pressure from the wedding day timeline (and needing to keep the dress clean)
