We love being a part of such a life-changing moment in our clients' lives. Being able to photograph their newest addition to their family is such an honor.

Please Note:

  • Depending on the baby's mood, sessions take 1-2 hours
  • Newborns should be photographed between 5-14 days old
  • Session dates are booked based on your due date but can be adjusted if the baby arrives late or early

Step One

What to pack

Our studio is equipped with everything to style the photo session including bonnets, swaddles, wraps, and blankets but we recommend packing the following items.

Extra clothes

Bring a change of clothes for baby in case there is an accident and an outfit for your little one for the ride home.

BAby clean up

Spit-up, drool, and accidents happen...please bring diapers, burb clothes and blankets just in case.

Personal items

Feel free to bring sentimental blanks, hats, or accessories. You're also welcome to bring any swaddles, wraps.

Pacifier & bottle

The pacifier is the most effective soothing tool for during the session. Please also bring a bottle if baby gets hungry.

Step Two

What to wear

When deciding what to wear for your newborn session, choose a color pallet of 2-4 colors and mix it up, including pants and dresses.

  • Choose soft, muted colors and light neutrals
  • Avoid busy patterns or stripes
  • Ivory and white are best for a light and airy look
  • Remove any large watches or larger jewelry
  • Coordinate siblings in similar colors & styles

Step Three

Getting Ready

Please follow these helpful tips when preparing for your baby's newborn portrait session. These are professional tips that will help us keep your little one asleep in the car and transition them straight to sleeping photos without waking or alarming your baby.

Step 1

Clean eyes & nose

Please wash babies eyes and nose with warm washcloth BEFORE you leave for the session.

Step 2

Lotion face and body

If your baby has dry skin use lotion BEFORE you leave for the session.

Step 3

Snap clothing

Have your baby in an outfit that does not have to go over their head when you arrive to the studio. Something with front snaps is ideal.

Step 4

Give full feeding

Give your baby a full feeding right BEFORE you get them in the car and leave for your session.

Step Four
