There’s something truly magical about the Las Madrinas Las Niñas – Evergreen Ball – Los Angeles, California, an annual tradition filled with elegance, legacy, and a deep sense of community service.
In the heart of Los Angeles, Las Madrinas (Spanish for The Godmothers) is one of the city’s most beloved philanthropic organizations. Since 1933, Las Madrinas has raised millions to support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), a world-renowned pediatric hospital dedicated to improving the lives of children through groundbreaking research and compassionate care.
We had the privilege of photographing the Las Madrinas Las Niñas – Evergreen Ball – Los Angeles, California this January 2024 at the iconic Millennium Biltmore Hotel (506 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA). This historic hotel’s grand architecture and timeless charm were the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.

💚 Who Are Las Madrinas and Las Niñas?
Las Madrinas, which means “The Godmothers” in Spanish, is one of Los Angeles’ oldest and most respected charitable organizations. Since 1933, they’ve supported Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), one of the nation’s leading pediatric hospitals. Las Madrinas members raise funds to advance research and critical programs that benefit children from all walks of life.
Las Niñas — “The Girls” — is the junior auxiliary. Through this unique program, young women learn the importance of community service and philanthropy while building lifelong friendships. Members spend their high school years volunteering, fundraising, and organizing community events under the mentorship of Las Madrinas.
The Evergreen Ball – A Celebration of Service
The Evergreen Ball is a signature tradition, celebrating the young women of Las Niñas and their commitment to service. The evening radiates elegance, dancing, and gratitude, with the CEO of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles making it even more special. He spoke about the impact this remarkable group has on countless families each year, highlighting their dedication.
Held at the iconic Biltmore Hotel, the Evergreen Ball blends timeless tradition with youthful spirit, highlighting the incredible bond between these young women, their families, and the community they serve.
