Orange County Baby Photographer – Studio Session
Most newly married couples that either blend pets or buy one together know that those “fur babies” are like their first baby, so we love that when this couple brought their gorgeous newborn in for her first portraits, they brought their “fur baby,” a teacup Yorkie, in too. It was a whole lot of cute going on in Gilmore Studios!
We always tell clients that if they aren’t sure what to wear for pictures, classic white is timeless and doesn’t need much thought (because we all know there isn’t a lot of time or energy for outfit planning when you’re a new parent!). The warm lighting of our studio and our availability of backdrops keeps the white from washing out skin tones. You can see how this new mom and dad just glow with happiness! (Also, not fair that mom looks this gorgeous after just giving birth a few weeks before!)
Colors, Textures, and Themes!
This couple chose a soft pink and a silvery plain backdrop, and one of our favorite rustic chevron wood backdrops, all of which added soft color and textural interest and kept the white interesting.
Mom and I chose several perfect wraps and headbands from our huge in-studio collection that highlighted sweet baby girl. We think she looks like a total fairy princess in the one with her tiny tiara on! The dog was a wonderful model, too. It looks like she’s warmed nicely to the idea of being a “big sister.” Her special pink collar tag even says so!
