Newport Beach Wedding at the Hyatt Regency
We first met up with Cynthia & Erick at their engagement session in Corona Del Mar. The e-session took place on a really pretty nature trail and then eventually to Little Corona Beach. Be sure to check it out here. We talked about their Newport Beach Wedding at one of our favorite local hotels, the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach!
GETTING READY FOR THE WEDDING
Cynthia had so many great details waiting for us in their room where she was getting ready. It is always fun to see all the details that have been carefully planned for this gorgeous Newport Beach wedding day. Her hair and makeup ran so smoothly (thanks to Sherilyn Beauty) and she looked beautiful. All of her bridesmaids were in the suite to help out! Erick spent his time getting ready with his guys in the Wine Cellar. They had a few drinks, had some laughs, and Erick handed out gifts to all of his groomsmen. Next, it was off to see his bride for the first time in her wedding dress!
FIRST LOOK
The first look is always our favorite moment of every wedding! We set Erick up on the garden patio, right in front of the Wine Cellar Room. He nervously awaited Cynthia’s arrival! Jennifer walked her over from the bridal suite and gently tapped him on the shoulder. The emotions are always flowing during the first look- and we just keep snapping away! Afterwards, we took the couple around the grounds for their portrait session.
CEREMONY + COCKTAIL
The Newport Beach Hyatt is known for it’s stunning views of the sun setting over the Newport Harbor. The hotel sits on 26 acres surrounded by palm trees and a lovely golf course. The ceremony was performed in the amphitheater. Umbrellas were set up to keep the guests out of the sun. The bride’s close friend Brenna MacKay did a great job on all of the ceremony floral. The cocktail hour was right after the ceremony, under the vine covered trellis.
Plaza Arbor RECEPTION
The reception was outdoors in the gorgeous Plaza Arbor. Francine (Francine Ribeau Events) and her girls spent hours getting every detail ready for the big party! Twinkle lights draped over the wooden dance floor. At least 20 tables were decked out with dishes, glasses, and beautiful floral arrangements! Chris Chan with Invisible Touch Events provided an interesting mix of music and even spoke a little Chinese! He even gave the guests a couple dance lessons- A very talented guy! The afterparty area was just steps away from the reception in a large ballroom. Dancing went on through the night while their guests sipped on boba drinks and enjoyed the photo booth.
