This was a really sweet session! We were so happy to have this family back in the studio after doing the “First Year Collection” with their firstborn little guy. We were super excited when mom told us she was pregnant with a little girl this time around. Their newborn daughter was sleepy and had a full stomach – which always makes for a smooth session. We started out with the family session and sibling shots. Mom gave us some colors to work with and we loved the rainbow background that we found at Hazy Skies Designs. They have some really cute patterns and backdrops. The pink and gold rose backdrop was custom made here at the studio with our amazing Canon Pro 2000 printer.

The amount of different looks always gives it away that we had a sleepy newborn. The clouds were a new addition and we think it added just the right dimension for the rainbow set. This is such a sweet family and we can’t wait to see them again for her next milestone session! The sitting up session will be next and then onto her 1st birthday cake smash (just like her brother)!

This one was done at Balboa in the fog, and honestly, it worked perfectly. Soft light, calm energy, and nothing distracting. A great reminder that headshots do not have to be stiff or overly polished to feel professional.
