Inspired by the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland, we transformed our studio into a dreamy setting for a little one’s first birthday celebration. This cake smash photography session was truly a trip down the rabbit hole, filled with colorful details, playful props, and plenty of cake!

A Wonderland Come to Life

The stage was set with a custom-made backdrop featuring props from Alice in Wonderland. Vibrant flowers, oversized playing cards, and curious teapots added an extra layer of whimsy. The birthday girl, dressed as a mini Alice in her blue dress and white apron, looked like she had just stepped out of the storybook. With a delicate headband adorned with a black bow, she was the picture of charm.

How do you prepare to say goodbye for two years?

This family has six boys, and one was about to leave for Finland on his mission. They scheduled this session a few weeks before he left, knowing how important it was to have everyone together in one place before such a big change.

These are the photos that hold so much weight later on. Not because everything is perfect, but because everyone is there. If you are heading into a season of transition, this is your reminder to pause and document it.
