We love simple and cute cake smash themes! This little boy’s first birthday session was adorable. We loved his suspenders and cute little bow tie! Before his cake smash, we went outside for a quick portrait session in the garden.

We had a little extra time before guests arrived, so we took the girls around the Pacific Club in Newport Beach for some fun group photos 📸

This beautiful event was for the Assistance League, Newport-Mesa Chapter — such a lovely group and a joy to photograph!

Loved getting to explore the space a bit and capture those pre-event smiles before the evening officially began ✨

This extended family session didn’t go exactly as planned…

Our original beach was covered in seaweed (and bugs — which the kids were not going to be okay with 😅), so we made a quick location switch.

The backup spot was packed with people — but here’s the magic: I can Photoshop them out so it looks like they had the whole beach to themselves.

Because even when things don’t go perfectly, we still make it work — and the final images? Totally worth it. 💛
