Cowboy Cake Smash – Country Western 1st Birthday

This little guy was a blast to have in the studio! We really enjoyed this first birthday cowboy cake smash. Then for an extra treat, we did family portraits with mom, dad, and older brother! Seeing his beautiful smiles and cute cowboy outfit was a treat. The props were terrific and added so much fun flair to the shoot. All the balloons, and streamers, and the hay really helped make this a great time. We got so many great pictures out of this session. All in all this was a great cowboy cake smash!

Little Indian Cake Smash Session are done in the studio. All birthday cake smash sets are custom built to the client’s theme or color scheme and include a cake from French’s Cupcake Bakery in Costa Mesa. The Cowboy Cake Smash concept was a collaboration with the client.

How do you prepare to say goodbye for two years?

This family has six boys, and one was about to leave for Finland on his mission. They scheduled this session a few weeks before he left, knowing how important it was to have everyone together in one place before such a big change.

These are the photos that hold so much weight later on. Not because everything is perfect, but because everyone is there. If you are heading into a season of transition, this is your reminder to pause and document it.
