Unicorn Theme Cake Smash Portrait Session – 1st Birthday

This unicorn theme cake smash was a great session! Jennifer captured some adorable portraits of this little girl’s first birthday session. She was so much fun to work with! Her outfits were perfect, and we loved the set! The streamers, stars, and pom-poms added a great deal of flair and fun to the shoot! The unicorn pinata was a great addition to the set as well. In addition, the rainbow backdrop by HSD Designs provided a great background for the photos. We have a feeling we will be having a few more unicorn theme cake smash sessions very soon!

Cake smash sessions are $250 and by reservation only. All birthday cake smash sets are custom built to the client’s theme or color scheme and include a yummy cake baked with love at French’s Cupcake Bakery.

How do you prepare to say goodbye for two years?

This family has six boys, and one was about to leave for Finland on his mission. They scheduled this session a few weeks before he left, knowing how important it was to have everyone together in one place before such a big change.

These are the photos that hold so much weight later on. Not because everything is perfect, but because everyone is there. If you are heading into a season of transition, this is your reminder to pause and document it.
