Downtown Main Street has it all when it comes to beautiful photography backgrounds for your Huntington Beach engagement session. You can always find parking and there are plenty of fine drinking establishments to help get the edge off before the session! So you might be thinking, another engagement session at the beach… Yawn… But I will say this, there aren’t too many beaches that can offer what Main St. has to offer. Just take a look at restaurant selection in HB alone! You got yourselves ready for photos, hair and makeup is done- why wouldn’t you grab a bite to eat after your photos?

Vintage buildings, walls, and textures

The original HB pier opened in 1914 so you can only imagine how many historic buildings are surrounding Main Street. We love to meet with our engaged couples in front of Jack’s Surfboards and then walk the back alleys in search of vintage architecture, brick walls, and anything with vibrant color! After we have wandered around the streets (out of the wind for your engagement photos) next, we will head down to the sand for some photos with the pier.

Surf, Sand, and Romantic Sunsets

After some fun urban photos, we will take you down to the sand. The vast coastlines of Huntington Beach are unlike any other local beach in Orange County. We love the clean white concrete look of the HB pier. Whether we are under it, or a hundred yards away, the pier makes a perfect backdrop.  Mix in a gorgeous sunset and you will have already forgotten the earlier photos with the perfect hair and old buildings!
