Orange County cake smash – Pink and Gold

Orange County cake smash photography is on the rise at Gilmore Studios! First birthday sessions are becoming a daily occurrence at the Costa Mesa photography studio. With moms requesting themes such as outer space, on the farm, lumberjack, or a super girlie pet cake smash!

Creating one of a kind themes

The set design team has their work cut out for them! Owner & photographer Jennifer Gilmore says, “there is a new pile of boxes waiting at my door for me everyday, full of props for upcoming sessions!” Building the birthday sets is the most difficult part of the job since every set is custom made to the clients theme or color scheme. Jennifer says, “I work closely with each mom sending Pinterest links and coordinating outfits via email for the cake smash session.”

The best cake designers

Gilmore Studios also supplies the custom cake seen in all of their cake smash sessions. “Our cake designer is the best! French’s Cupcake Bakery always completes the birthday set with one of their custom designed (and delicious) birthday cakes.”
